Ever wonder if you’re missing a trick by not conducting exit interviews? If you are asking yourself the question then chances are that you are. Exit interviews are defined as a conversation with an employee who is leaving your company and terminating the working relationship. Although having an employee leave your company can feel personal and it is usually not a positive development, conducting an exit interview is a great learning opportunity to find out about the causes and opportunities to improve. Furthermore, it gives you a chance to make sure that the relationship ends on an amicable note as the employee will have a chance to air their grievances and get closure.
